Good food, but not the best one.

Very comfortable place to eat, food is delicious. Not too far from City Center.

If you want to fulfill your carnivore desire, this is the right place to go. They serve various local dishes of meat. The serving size is very generous too. The price is not too expensive. They even let you take your own rice!

the food are simply the best....wide parking lot...many tables available...the price is okay...gonna visit it again some other day...really recomended...

Garlic sambal is the best👍👍👍Average price 45k, enough for 2pax/portion. All tasty, mostly lamb/goat culinary(tengkleng, gule, sate). They hav chicken garlic sambal only for alternative (pieces/whole chix). White rice for free. Dawet drinks available.

Tender and juicy grilled lamb with big portion. The dishes gear toward sweet flavour. Order the tekleng and tongseng. Skip the satay if you order tengkleng since they taste the same. Order nasi goreng kambing if you are looking for something and classy.

Food-wise, it was okay. Quite unique if you are not used to eat meat like the carnivores we used to be back in the jurrasic age. Service-wise, however, was rather unorganized as guests can only place their order in one place. We had our orders mixed-up with another table next to us which to our surprise, was not recorded properly by their order desk. No tissue are provided on each table. You have to go to the nearest wash basin to get one. Rice, on the positive side, is free-flow, while the teas, are not.

One of very popular foodies hunter. However, the taste of the food is just an average. For the lamb, that's a huge lamb which is very enough for one person when they are in hurry and hungry. 😁

Their tengkleng is good, worth the price. Didn't leave any smell in the mouth. But some of the food are quite expensive. Overall it's still nice to eat in here

This place is awesome! We can enjoy different types of menu comfortably. All of meat are easy to chew and delicious. Wonder why it has 'Tengkleng Gajah' for its name? Cause this tengkleng is really big!. This place has big parking lot, clean bathroom and also their services is good.

Well I don't know why this place is popular and so crowded. The taste was so so and it's too pricey for some usual taste. We can have better taste in other place with less money. And they took an ages to served their food. I know, it's because they had a lot of customers.

Dang good tengkleng and tongseng! Meat were fresh, and they chose the goat well because it wasn't gamey. The soup was very very excellent, sate was great (but expensive), and the ovals were to die for. I also liked the way they provide free rice. Open door but not too hot. Awesome food.

As it name, this is a heaven for eating meat (only) for groups. Most of students will be delighted if they eat here (me too), but too pricey for them 😂 And some elders cannot eat and hate it because they are thinking of health first (cholesterol and fat).

Located in the city border, the place was a crowd attraction. It was packed with people even on 2.30 PM, not your typical lunch time. They serve lambs mainly, in soup (original) and fried. Portion was huge for one, better to share it with your group. Taste good, nicely seasoned and quite easy to chew. Unfortunately they don’t have air conditioning and the roof was made from asbestos or zinc, not sure, make the place quite hot from the sun.

It was my first time experiencing Tengkleng Gajah. I tried the signature dish, Tengkleng Gajah Goreng. The spices is very strong, tend to sweet. This place is crowded in normal day, so many people come here to taste the tengkleng. Beside tengkleng, they also have different menus such as sate, tongseng, nasi goreng, etc.

Taste good, service good too. Only the price are quite expensive.

It's really hot and humid when you stop by at daylight especially at lunchtime, consider to seat outside or underneath the ceiling fans to get "moves" air, the food itself is delicious as local dish..

I came here at saturday night at 6 pm right before the restaurant become noisy. I was surprised knowing that the service is very efficient. We dont have to wait too long to get our order delivered. And the price also quite affordable for a big portion of meat. I order tengkleng gulai and i enjoyed it a lot.

Huge and delicious ribs in north Yogyakarta. The best menu for me is Tengkleng Gajah digoreng. Though the price gets more expensive (every year i guess -_-a), it always drag me back everytime I visit Yogyakarta. It has huge parking area. A must to eat!

Tengkleng Gajah, om its name, this restaurant does not provide manu made from elephants but a menu of goat, beef, and chicken satay, with large portions such as elephants. if you eat here, you must provide your own tissue, take as much rice as you like, and bring your own toothpick. parking area is quite extensive, although many people come. here is the traditional drink "dawet ice", and the drink I really like. Fried Satay is my favorite menu, it tastes really good.

The tengkleng is absolutey very gajah size. Hahahaha. The taste is delicious. Not greasy. I like it. I took tengkleng gule and tengkleng goreng. Served with sliced shallots, chilli and cabbage. And dawet also. Hope that they have some chilli sauce for the extra pedas sensation. Well, we are freely to add the rice. The place is noticed easily. Actually I suggest to visit this place not in the middle of the day because it was very hot. Perhaps because of the material of the roof or the height. Overall, I like to have some more tengkleng gajah.

A good place to eat specially cooked meat. This place is the right place for those who love eating beef and mutton, those who aren't afraid of having more and more accumulations of cholesterols in their body. They taste great, though.😃 The dining area is spacious and clean enough. The servive is fast and the servers are helpful and friendly. The parking is area is also spacious enough for a big bus. However, the restrooms need a better care and maintenance.

Definitely a local legendary and very famous restaurant. Customers come in huge buses. All goat meat made in several recipes of curry. Must order several versions to understand the difference if it is your first visit. Some of them are not very much different in taste for beginners. They are all tasty. You got a order list with the name of the food so you just mark which one you want and how many portions. The names correspond with the menu which has pictures of the meals. Although the place is extremely popular, the price is very reasonable.
